Authentic Pre-Columbian Whistling Artifact from the Northern Coast of Peru. This vessel from the Moche/Mochica Culture dates from the Early Intermediate Period circa 400 AD. Double stirrup Vessel in overall tan with light brown displays linear intricate decorations throughout. Artifact has beautiful whistle that sounds reminisce of high pitch bird (featured on base of stirrup). Piece in overall very nice condition with repair to bird. Artifact shows all appropriate patina and aging and mineral deposits for a piece this age. Approx. 7.5 inches in width (19.05cm) by 4.25 inches in height (10.79cm).
