The Best of David and Victoria Beckham's Matching Outfits Through the Years

Whether they're on the red carpet, on vacation or hanging out at home, the power couple has made a habit of fashionably coordinating their clothing

Victoria and David Beckham are twin flames with twin senses of style.

Over the years, the longtime power couple has made a habit of wearing matching outfits, from their wedding attire in 1999 to their more casual outfits today. And while Posh and Becks always manage to look fabulous together, their clothing choices haven't always come without fashion risks.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show in 2021, Victoria joked about the funkier 'fits from the early days of her relationship with David. "We didn't do it that much but every time we did, it was very well-documented and will just not leave me alone, let me tell you," she told Jimmy Fallon on his talk show.

"I think it was a naïveté then. We didn't know about fashion. We were just having fun with it, which, to be honest with you, is kind of the way it should be."

With decades of marriage under their belt and four kids, the singer and retired footballer continue to express their love in synchronized style. Look back on some of their epic coordinating moments from over the years.

Hot or Not?

Back in their earlier days of coupledom, the Beckhams channeled their inner spies and donned sleek leather looks for a night out in London. While their matching getups certainly appeared cool at the moment, Victoria remembers the outfits in a less-than-favorable light. She recalled their fashion faux pas in October 2022, during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

"We were wearing Gucci [and] it was a Versace dinner, which is inappropriate in itself," the fashion designer said. Still, she added that there was a wholesome aspect to their ensembles: "We really thought about it and there was a naïveté to it that was just so sweet."

Blue Jean Babes

The '90s rocked on with more matching attire, though they opted for something slightly more subtle while attending a Whitney Houston concert. The duo wore their own styles of black tops, but they kept their jeans the same exact shade of blue.

Bride & Groom

The Beckhams kicked off their wedding festivities in white but quickly changed into eggplant for their reception event. They even put baby Brooklyn – then just 4 months old – in a purple set of his own.

White Hot

Looking angelic as ever, the Spice Girl and her professional footballer looked heavenly in white at the 2003 MTV Movie Awards. At this point in their relationship, the Beckhams were raising two boys and navigating both of their careers, but they still made time for stylish date nights.

On the Carpet

Fast forward 11 years and two more kids later, when the iconic duo donned white once again for the Met Gala in 2014. With a bit more subtlety than their previous twin looks, Victoria and David's classy black-tie wear fit the evening's theme of "Charles James: Beyond Fashion."

David inspired smart style when his former fashion label, Kent & Curwen, produced a collection inspired by the British TV series Peaky Blinders. The retired Manchester United star donned a dark grey coat to contrast against his wife's heather gray blazer during London Fashion Week in 2019.

Synced Up

In honor of their 22nd wedding anniversary, David shared a carousel of matching moments with his style-savvy wife. In one rare snap, the Beckhams wore khakis and white t-shirts and still managed to look radiant.

All Together Now

David's anniversary tribute also featured a group photo with their four kids, showing that fun fashion runs in the family. In the snapshot, Mom and Dad wear the same black pajamas as their sons Brooklyn, Cruz and Romeo and their daughter, Harper Seven.

"22 years later, still matching outfits 😂," David captioned his post. "Happy anniversary love u so much and thank you for giving me our amazing kids so we can all wear the same 😂"

On the Same Wave

"Looks like I inspired @davidbeckham again!!! 😂" Victoria wrote on Instagram in 2022, captioning a summery photo of the two in coral-toned outfits. "matchy matchy 😂😂😂x kisses."

Double Denim

Victoria playfully nodded to their past coordinating looks when she shared another twin moment. The longtime pair wore head-to-toe denim as they hung out at home in 2023.

"I thought those days were over," the fashion designer wrote alongside the photo, which she added to her Instagram Story. Teasingly, she added, "I got dressed first fyi!!!"
