Thom Yorke is headed for Broadway. The Radiohead frontman and recent solo act has signed on to compose original material for the Clive Owen-featuring Old Times revival.

Previews for the Roundabout Theater Company’s production of Harold Pinter’s play begin Sept. 17 ahead of an Oct. 6 opening at the American Airlines theater. Director Douglas Hodge said via a statement, “The music Thom has written for Old Times gives an immediacy and a ‘now-ness’ to the show. The play itself is about memory and love—Thom’s music works backwards and forwards and plays with time and repetition in the same way Pinter does. In true Thom Yorke-style, the music is epic, heartbreaking, irresistible, and complex.”

In the same statement, York said, “It’s been a pleasure working with Doug on my first stage production. I’ve enjoyed exploring through music the script’s themes of love and memory as well as Pinter’s rhythms, twists and turns.”

Eve Best and and Kelly Reilly are billed to join Owen in his Broadway debut.
