Ron Perlman Was Feelin' the Love After The New HELLBOY Movie Was Announced

As you know, Ron Perlman championed for a third Hellboy movie for a long time. He pushed so hard for that movie to happen. He and Guillermo del Toro eventually made one final big push for Hellboy 3 and it ended with him saying, "Hellboy 3 Sorry to report: Spoke w all parties. Must report that 100% the sequel will not happen. And that is to be the final thing about it."

Then last night Hellboy creator Mike Mignola announced that there would be an R-rated reboot of Hellboy with Neil Marshall (The Descent, Game Of Thrones) set to direct and Stranger Things co-star David Harbour set to star as the hero, stepping into the shoes previously filled by Perlman.

Perlman was amazing as Hellboy, and it's kinda weird that someone else will be taking on the role. Don't get me wrong, I think Harbour could be great, but Perlman had a certain charm that Harbour won't be able to bring to the character. Anyway, after the news broke, Perlman was flooded with Tweets from his fan's including Del Toro expressing their love for the actor, and he was feelin' it. Here are a couple of his tweets in response to the fans:

Gotta love the guy. It would be interesting to hear how he and Del Toro feel about Hellboy getting a reboot with a new director and actor. I imagine that it's gotta sting a little bit. They'll continue to go on and make more great movie and TV projects, though, for fans to enjoy! Hopefully we see them work together again on another film project one day!
