2021: Totaled 20 tackles with two pass breakups on the year…Missed the majority of the season due to injury, making three starts and playing in six games…Broke up two passes and made a pair of tackles at Robert Morris…Totaled five tackles against Liberty and Kennesaw State…Added four tackles apiece against Elon and Monmouth…

At Southern Illinois (2020): Started in the Salukis’ season opening win over No. 25 Southeast Missouri State, making four tackles with an interception…Missed the remainder of the season…

Prep/Personal: Garnered first-team All-Aiken Standard honors at defensive back…Selected to play in the Border Bowl III…Named a 2016 Hall of Fame student, was a first-team All-Region, All-Area and All-Central Savannah River Area selection…Earned All-Area accolades as a junior and was the North Augusta Star Player of the Week after recovering a pair of fumbles and picking off a pass in a win over Midland Valley…Under coach Brian Thomas, the Yellow Jackets went 7-5 his senior year and reached the first round of the Class AAAA Division II playoffs, was 10-3 his junior year and reached the second round of the playoffs…His sophomore season under coach Dan Pippen, they reached the semifinals of the playoffs and finished the season ranked No. 7 in the state…As a senior, he recorded 71 tackles, four pass breakups, a blocked punt and both forced and recovered a fumble…Top game was in a 32-7 win over Lakeside, when he posted 16 tackles, had two interceptions and three pass breakups…Also played basketball and averaged 10 points and nine rebounds per game…In track and field he competed in the 100-meter dash and the long jump…Born October 12, 1997 in Tucson, Ariz.…Father, Richard Maddox II, played linebacker at the University of Arizona in 1991-92 and was the captain of the Desert Swarm defense; his NFL career was cut short after just one season with the New York Giants because of injury…Grandfather, also Richard Maddox, was a career Army officer who served two infantry tours in Vietnam and was also an All-American at South Carolina State…He has seven brothers and one sister…Two of his brothers, Christian and Brandon, played with him at Pima Community College; Christian also played with him at SIU; another brother, Murphy Holloway, played basketball at Ole Miss and was SEC Tournament MVP in 2013 and is Ole Miss’s all-time leading rebounder (15th in SEC history), ranks second in double-doubles (39), steals and games played and is the only player in SEC history to score 1,400 points, record 1,000 rebounds and 190 steals (he currently plays professionally overseas)…
