Tito El Bambino Presents his New Song ‘Solo Tú’ in LOS40

In this interview, he not only talked about his music, but the important need to redefine our perceptions of love and vulnerability

Tito «El Bambino» is known as one of reggaeton’s original pioneers. He is a singer-songwriter that has achieved multi-platinum certifications, has been recognized with six ASCAP songwriter awards, a Latin Grammy, a Silver & Gold Torch, and a Silver Seagull at Viña del Mar. He is a seven Billboard Latin Music Awards winner and was the first-ever Reggeaton artist to receive 18 nominations. 

He has put to dance people around the world with his global hits such as Siente el boom, Natural Flow, El Amor, Mi Cama Huele a Tí, Pega Pega, among others.  

Music Career

Efraín David Fines Nevares was born in Carolina, Puerto Rico, on October 5, 1981. He became internationally known in the duo Hector & Tito, before his solo career.

In 2006, he released his first album, Top of the Line, which sold 2 million copies. The album featured collaborations with well-known artists like Don Omar and Daddy Yankee. The album climbed to number one in Puerto Rico, and because of this success, in 2007 he released a second edition titled Top of The Line: El Internacional. This release with five unpublished songs, like «Siente el boom» and Flow Natural Remix. 

In 2009, sold over 3 million copies and broke the download record with his album El Patrón, which included his hit song El amor. This was the most listened to Latin song in 2010 and was awarded as the Latin song of the year by ASCAP. 

In 2011, he released his fourth album Invincible. That same year he received the Latin Song of the Year and Composer of the Year awards from ASCAP. In 2012 he published his fifth studio album Invicto, with special appearances by artists such as singer Marc Anthony and Yandel. 

In 2014, he unveiled his sixth studio album titled Alta Jerarquía. Continuing his active engagement with fans, he remained active on social networks in 2020, conducting live broadcasts to uplift people’s spirits during the challenging times of COVID-19 confinement. Later in the same year, he released his seventh album, El Muñeco.

Beyond his music, Tito has been committed to philanthropy causes, such as being an active defender of FEMPR (Fundación de Esclerosis Múltiple de Puerto Rico), a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting individuals diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and their families. In 2017, he joined Daddy Yankee and Ricky Martin to provide aid to their communities following the devastating aftermath of Hurricane María, demonstrating that he’s not only talented, but an incredible human being
