Kara Thrace: The Tough as Nails Viper Pilot
Kara “Starbuck” Thrace is the hotshot pilot that may be humanities only hope of salvation. Starbuck knows how good she is and has no tolerance for incompetence. This has lead her to but heads with her superior officers, as shown by her previous charges of insubordination. While her cockiness can be off putting, Starbuck’s skills in the cockpit of a viper fighter more than make up for any character flaws she has. To date she has shot down more enemy space crafts than any other two pilots in the fleet combined.
A self described “army brat” Kara has lived her entire life in the military. Her mother was a tough as nails colonial marine, who literally beat the responsibilities of a warrior into Kara at a young age. This abuse Starbuck suffered has led her to being standoffish towards others. If you can get close enough to know the real Kara Thrace however, you would be hard pressed to find a more fiercely loyal friend.
She currently serves on the Battlestar Galactica, under Admiral William Adama. Starbuck has a close personal friendship with Adama, fighting under him for the past several years. Adama has stated on numerous occasions that Starbuck is as a daughter to him and that their is scarcely a more dedicated viper pilot in the entire fleer.
