Oasis Biome
Introduction
The Oasis biome is one of the rarest biomes in the Kitsumon world and can only be found within Desert biomes. However, unlike Deserts, Oasis lands are farming heavens! Oasis regions are relatively small, but they are packed with plenty of secrets to uncover! Even the Oasis biome has its downsides, but it’s packed with so many benefits that it’s easy to look past the bad aspects. From granting the player access to a rare protective flower, all the way to significantly boosting several professions all at once, the Oasis biome is truly full of wonders. If you own 2 land plots, one from the Oasis biome and another one from the Desert biome bordering your Oasis, the boosters of your Desert biome will also apply to your Oasis land plot. To top it off, only the positive effects of the desert will apply while the negatives are left behind. Take your chance to build your very own dream land within the Oasis!
Effects on Professions
Oasis biome lands affect the stats of all professions noticeably, and even though most of these effects are positive, you still need to watch out for the negative effects of the Oasis on some professions.
Farming:
- XP for ALL farming activities is increased by 11%!
- Chances of getting sick are decreased by 20% for all summer fruit trees like Palm Trees, Banana Trees, Mango Trees, etc.
- Chances of getting sick are increased by 20% for all other types of trees
- Animals have a 15% reduced chance to advance to the next growth stage
- Edible herbs and flowers grow 20% faster
- Access to a special protective flower that only grows in this biome
Mining:
- XP for all mining activities is increased by 5%
- XP increase for leveling up is reduced by 5% per level (XP increase is 9.36% per level instead of 10.4%)
- Chances for all gem rocks to spawn is increased by 5%
Cooking:
- XP for all cooking activities is increased by 5%
- Cooking speed is increased by 10%
Crafting:
- Crafting speed is decreased by 11% for all items, constructions and machines
- Chance to fail is increased by 10% for all automated machines from the “Innovation” section
Alchemy:
- Access to a special type of plant cure that can only be made here
- 5% Alchemy XP increase for all alchemy activities
Fishing:
- If your Oasis land borders a sea, you have an 11% higher chance of catching “rare” fish while fishing on your own land plot
- Chance to breed increases by 10% for pond fish (aquarium fish are not affected)
- If your Oasis land borders a sea, your Fishing XP will increase by 5% while fishing with a rod on your own land plot
Only a small amount of land plots in the Kitsumon world are in an Oasis biome. They can only border desert lands or water, making any seaside Oasis plots especially rare and powerful. Get yourself a land plot in the Oasis if you want to gain various advantages for farming and other professions, but make sure you are also aware of the potential drawbacks.
