Angeline Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s eldest son, Maddox Jolie-Pitt, has moved back in with his mom and siblings amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The 18-year-old’s freshman year at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea was cut short — like it was for many students around the globe — as world governments work to stop the spread of COVID-19.
As of Friday, South Korea has reported more than 9,000 positive cases of the coronavirus, but has been applauded for its ability to “flatten the curve” and contain the number of infections in the country.
While Maddox is back home in the U.S., he is continuing to focus on his Korean and Russian studies, according to People.
In August, footage surfaced online of Jolie, 44, dropping off her son at Yonsei University, where he was majoring in biochemistry.
“I’m trying not to cry,” she told fans who crowded together to speak to the Hollywood star, adding that Yonsei “seems like a great school.”
Jolie’s other children, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 13, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 11, are reportedly also home amid the pandemic.
Earlier this week, the philanthropic actress shared she is still keeping other kids who are in need top of mind, donating $1 million to fight child hunger.
“As of this week, over a billion children are out of school worldwide because of closures linked to coronavirus,” Jolie said in a statement. “Many children depend on the care and nutrition they receive during school hours, including nearly 22 million children in America who rely on food support. No Kid Hungry is making resolute efforts to reach as many of those children as possible.”
