Kevin Connolly reveals newborn daughter caught COVID-19

Kevin Connolly is currently living every parents worst nightmare.

The “Entourage” actor shared that he and his one-month-old daughter, Kennedy Cruz, caught the COVID-19 Delta Variant. Though he was adamant they are back on the “road to recovery,” the new dad explained it’s been a rough week for his family.

“My daughter, she’s got COVID,” Connolly, 47, said on the July 23 episode of “Victory the Podcast.”

“It’s hard when your kid is sick,” he added. “There’s really nothing you can do for her. She’s doing great, just the congestion part. But the fever’s down.”

Despite catching the Delta Variant, Connolly credited being “double vaccinated” for saving him from a potentially worse outcome.

“There’s zero doubt in my mind that this vaccine saved me a great deal because the symptoms, while brutal, were manageable,” the actor explained. “I’m passed it now, but without that vaccine I would want no part of that Delta Variant of the coronavirus.”

Connolly revealed that despite both he and his daughter having COVID-19, his partner, Zulay Henao, did not contract the virus.

“[Zulay] is negative,” Connolly shared. “Which further proves that the vaccine works because she essentially has two sick cry babies, myself and Kennedy, draped all over her and she didn’t get sick. Because she’s vaccinated.”

Connolly and Henao welcomed Kennedy, their first child together, in June. The couple met in 2018 when Connolly directed himself and Henao in three episodes of “The Oath.”

They didn’t confirm their romance until going Instagram official in January 2020 during a ski trip to Lake Tahoe.
