“We’re not sure where they got them from, probably one of those bullshit lyrics sites on the internet”

My Bloody Valentine have taken to social media to alert Spotify listeners that the band’s lyrics shared via the streaming platform are inaccurate. “Just noticed that Spotify has put fake lyrics up for our songs without our knowledge,” they tweeted. “These lyrics are actually completely incorrect and insulting. We’re not sure where they got them from, probably one of those bullshit lyrics sites on the internet.” Pitchfork has reached out to Spotify for comment and more information.

Last year, the band announced a reissue campaign that brought most of its previously omitted catalog to streaming services. My Bloody Valentine also revealed that they’ve been working on two new albums.
