Fox has ordered the pilot for “Fantasy Life,” a multi-cam hybrid comedy set to star Kevin Connolly of “Entourage.”

Based on Matthew Berry’s book of the same name, the series will follow a hard-working man who lands his ultimate dream job, hosting a fantasy football show. However, he’s forced to juggle his newfound stardom with office politics.

Connolly will also serve as exec producer, along with Berry, Tim McAuliffe (“Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,” “Satisfaction”) and Michael Rotenberg, Jonathan Berry, Greg Walter and Troy Zien of 3 Arts. McAuliffe will pen the pilot.

Connolly is repped by UTA, 3 Arts and PJ Shapiro.

Fox has also greenlit a single-cam comedy pilot from 20th Century Fox TV and “Psych” creator Steve Franks who will serve as exec producer and writer. “Detour,” inspired by Weezer’s lead singer Rivers Cuomo, centers on a rock star who unexpectedly decides to quit his band and return to college at the age of 30.

Cuomo will also exec produce with Franks, Dan Field and Tagline Picture’s Willie Mercer and Chris Henze (“Psych”).
