Thom Yorke emerged from self-quarantine Wednesday to perform an eerie new song on NBC’s “The Tonight Show.”
Titled “Plasticine Figures,” the woozy piano ballad found Yorke sporting gray whiskers and hunkered down in his basement, singing, “happy to serve, happy to linger, while you make up your face,” which, on the surface, echoed the lyrical themes of an old Radiohead fan favorite, “Fake Plastic Trees.”
Yorke shared a music sheet for the solo track earlier.

Last June, the Radiohead frontman released his third solo album, “Anima.” He was scheduled to return to the U.S. for a spring 2020 tour before the coronavirus pandemic shut down the concert industry.
