Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2020.
Sanz is known for composing hits such as “Corazón Partío,” “Amiga Mía,” “Y, ¿Si Fuera Ella?” and “Te lo Agradezco, Pero No,” and now he will be part of a select list of Hispanic artists on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which includes Selena Quitanilla, Shakira, Maná, Ricky Martin and Jennifer Lopez, among others.
According to the announcement by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, Sanz is part of the music category alongside Billy Idol, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Alicia Keys, Andy Madadian, Lucian Grainge, Mo Ostin, Bobby Rydell, Tanya Tucker and, posthumously, Muddy Waters.
Alejandro Sanz is currently on his #LaGira tour, which kicks off in the U.S. Aug. 28 in Chicago.
