Alejandro Sanz is making the rounds with not one, but two singles from his upcoming studio album #ElDisco.
The Spanish singer wrapped up 2018 by surprising fans with his single “No Tengo Nada,” which, in true Sanz fashion, features deep lyrics about life. Earlier this month, he dropped his collaboration with Nicky Jam called “Back in the City,” a sultry fusion of tropical sounds, such as mambo, pop and flamenco, and hints of urban.
During the Premio Lo Nuestro magenta carpet on Thursday night, Sanz opened up about his new single, which features a sample of Celia Cruz’s “Por Si Acaso No Regreso” and tells the relatable story of people who had to leave their home country and, inevitably, wish to return.
“The result has been very beautiful,” he told Billboard. “People have received it very well and they understand the meaning behind the song and what the lyrics are about.”

Sanz also revealed new details about his highly awaited album and his tour hitting the States. “It’s coming soon,” he says of #ElDisco, without spilling too many details. “I hope everyone likes it when it comes out, but it’s launching in no time.”
As for a U.S. tour? “We’re finalizing the last details to come to the U.S., which I’m looking very forward to come.”
