Activate Gaming Inc. has launched what it says is its largest gaming spot in Brampton.
Situated in an area of 13,000 square feet in Bramalea City Centre, this is the first time the company decided to have one of their spots inside a mall, company president Adam Schmidt said in a recent interview with the Brampton Guardian.
“The opportunity came up to be in a really great mall space, and we are really excited to go into that location,” Schmidt said.

Activate consists of 11 game rooms, where participants play arcade-type games by jumping, climbing and dodging.
The gaming spot in Brampton — Activate’s fifth location in Canada — features laser lights, glowing walls and huge high-tech rooms, where players enjoy playing a variety of games like arena battles, hoops and climbing.
“It is a pretty unique experience that we are bringing to Brampton.” Schmidt said.
Nicole MacPhail, marketing director of Bramalea City Centre, says the gaming facility will give people yet another reason to have fun with their friends and families.

“The facility will give something to Brampton residents to perform, as more people are craving for activities and a reason to get out of their houses, as we (have been stuck inside) for so long.”

With four such locations already opened, Activate Gaming Inc. plans to open a total of 10 such spots in the Greater Toronto Area in the coming year.
Game room sessions cost $25 each per attendee and last for 75 minutes.
