Character Analysis

(Avoiding Spoilers)

Living... in San Francisco, CA with everyone important in his life: his daughters, D.J., Stephanie and Michelle; Jesse, his brother-in-law; Joey, his friend; and Comet, his dog. Despite the inevitable chaos and clutter of such a large household, neat freak Danny tries his best to keep it clean and well-maintained.

Profession... TV news anchor. Danny starts as a sportscaster for Channel 8 News but is promoted to the host of the station's morning talk show, Wake Up San Francisco.

Interests... his children. Danny is a great father, always looking out for his daughters' best interests. He can be strict at times, though: "Sometimes a parent has to say no. Don't worry, if you put your foot down, they'll respect you more." Nevertheless, he is incredibly devoted to his girls and puts their happiness before all else.

Relationship Status... usually single. Since his wife Pam died, he's been focused on raiseing their three children. But as his daughters become more self-sufficient, he gets back into the dating scene.

Challenge... being the glue that holds their unconventional household together. Though Jesse and Joey are adults, they aren’t always as mature as Danny, so it’s up to him to keep the place running smoothly.

Personality... Type A, caring, responsible. Danny is selfless and tries hard to make everyone feel appreciated. To his daughters’ great embarrassment, Danny can be a bit of a dork, like when he asked, "Am I the raddest, baddest dad a kid ever had?" Though he may not be rad or bad, Danny is the rock of the Tanner household, always available to give sound advice and take care of his immediate (and extended) family.
