All the Deets on Ashley Olsen’s Husband Louis Eisner Because You’re So Damn Nosy

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are truly two of Hollywood’s most private people. But, I mean, can you blame ’em? After all, they were legit only 6 months old when they were cast as Michelle Tanner on Full House and then actually began filming the series—aka being working, paid actors—at 9 months. So you could say they might be just a tiiiny bit tired of sharing every aspect of their lives, which…fair!

While we do know tons about their successful fashion ventures (does Elizabeth and James or The Row ring a bell?), it’s their love lives that have been the subject of, well, tons of nosiness. Here’s a lil refresher: Mary-Kate married Olivier Sarkozy in 2015 but requested an emergency divorce in May 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic that was finalized in January 2021.

Ashley, meanwhile, is currently with artist Louis Eisner, whom she’s reportedly been seeing since 2017. Which leaves me feeling all !??!?!??! because the two have been photographed together only a handful of times. However, this only adds to their ~mystique~, especially on the heels of Ashley being said to have LEGIT MARRIED HIM in January 2023 and the fact that the couple recently welcomed a bb boy. So in the name of needing to know absolutely everything ever, here’s a deep dive of everything we do know about Louis. Shall we? We shall.

He and Ashley are reportedly married 👀

But it all started with the engagement rumors! On May 8, 2022, Ashley raised some eyebrows when she was spotted wearing what appeared to be a gold band on her wedding finger while out and about in New York.

But this wasn’t the first time Ashley was thought to have potentially said “I do” to Louis. In July 2019, she was seen in Pacific Palisades, California, with Louis for a très romantique date night during which they saw Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood in theaters and then had dinner at a local Italian restaurant. Adorbs! And even back then, the rumor mill started b-u-z-z-i-n-g with potential engagement rumors.

But now we can (kind of?!) put that goss to rest because the lovebirds are speculated to have gotten married at a private Bel-Air home in January 2023, according to Page Six. “It went late, with 50 people or so total,” revealed one insider who spoke with the publication, which also dubbed the ceremony as a “hush-hush” event. Honestly? V on brand for the couple, so I’m fully on board, lol.

He’s an artist

Louis often showcases his surrealist-like paintings on his Instagram page (which is wide open to the public, btw, so happy lurking!). His work is super intriguing, and he even sold a number of his pieces via auction in 2020 and early 2021, according to ArtNet.com.

And get this: One of Louis’s early buyers was actually Ivanka Trump, who purchased a piece by him in 2013 for her home. Small world!

He’s just as private as Ashley

Louis and Ashley are so private that they literally became breaking news and made countless headlines in July 2021 after Louis shared a candid photo of Ashley on his Instagram Story. In the pic, Ashley is seen v ~casually~ hiking through a wooded area while carrying a drink in one hand and a machete (yeah, you read that right, LOL) in the other. This is the energy I live for.

Louis obvi let the pic speak for itself and posted it to his Story sans caption, although he did follow up with a snap of himself standing on the edge of a log that hovered over a pond. Their ’ship gives a certain on-the-cusp-of-danger vibe based on these pics alone, and I, for one, am loving every minute of it.

Other than this internet-breaking moment, in June 2021, an In Touch source said that Ashley actually enjoys that her and Louis’ relationship is “low-key” and “private.” The insider went on: “He doesn’t crave the spotlight, so that’s a huge plus. And her twin sister, Mary-Kate, adores him.” Awww.

He’s a Leo 👀

Louis posted a throwback pic from his high school yearbook on his Instagram page and the black-and-white photo revealed that his birthday is July 31, 1988, making him 35 years old. We ❤️ a Leo!

FWIW, the yearbook also says Louis was “most likely to be a well-decorated army general,” so do with that what you will!

He grew up in California

Louis grew up in Santa Monica, California, with his parents and brother, Charlie. However, the California native moved to New York City in 2006 to attend Columbia University and study art history. It was on the East Coast where he also completed an internship at Sotheby’s auction house, according to a profile in Interview magazine. After graduating, Louis moved to Los Angeles and became a member of the Still House Group for several years.

His mom and dad are both a pretty big deal

Louis’s mom, Lisa, is a renowned fashion photographer and jewelry designer, and she and Louis seem pretty tight. For Mother’s Day in 2019, Louis posted a pic of his mama on his Instagram grid with the caption, “Happy Mother’s Day to @lisaeisnerjewelry you gave me life and also taught me how to find its magical beauty. Forever thankful to you and all the mothers in the world.” S’cute!

Louis’s father, Eric Eisner, is the former president of media conglomerate David Geffen Company for more than a decade. Eric has since switched to nonprofit work and is the founder of the Young Eisner Scholars organization.

Louis and Ashley made their red carpet debut only recently

And by recently, we mean, like, fall 2021! Yep! Ashley and Louis have remained largely silent about their romance over the years, but in September of that year, they finally made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Young Eisner Scholars 20th anniversary gala. 🥺

During the event, the couple mixed and mingled and even managed to pose for a pic with entrepreneur Matthew Morton (aka one of Sofia Richie’s exes post-Scott).

He and Ashley were friends first

The pair is said to have started dating waaay back in October 2017. After splitting from her financier/art dealer boyfriend Richard Sachs in March 2017, Ashley reconnected with Louis, whom she shares mutual high school friends with. 🥺 You! Love! To! See! It!

They recently welcomed a bb boy!

Yep, TMZ announced on August 14, 2023 that Ashley had recently had a baby boy. 🥺 Sources close to the designer and Louis dished to the outlet that Ashley had given birth to her son (whose name is Otto!!) a few months ago in New York. What's more? The insiders gushed that the couple is “ecstatic over the new addition to the fam.” S'cute!
