The Voice Kids star Pixie Lott has revealed the sweet name she has chosen for her newborn son.

Sharing the news on her Instagram, the singer posted an image of herself and husband Oliver Cheshire with the infant at what appeared to be the child's christening - revealing his full name to be Albert Charles Cheshire.

"Albert Charles Cheshire," she began alongside a blue heart emoji, before revealing the couple had already given him the adorable nickname of Bertie.

"It has already been the most amazing time of our lives with you little Bertie and we feel so incredibly lucky you chose us to be your m and d," Lott added.

Lott's friends and followers were quick to share their joy, congratulating the couple in the comments.

"Awww how lovely! Congratulations," commented Strictly It Takes Two host Fleur East, while singer and Britain's Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon wrote: "Congrats to you both! Beautiful."

"So beautiful!!!!!! So happy for you both xxxx," added former The X Factor star Alexandra Burke.

The snap is the first image Lott has shared of her son on Instagram, with the 'Mama Do' singer announcing her pregnancy via the app in June. She is thought to have given birth to baby Albert in October after being spotted pushing a pram alongside her husband.

Following the pregnancy reveal, Lott revealed the happy news had coincided with her first wedding anniversary for a piece in British Vogue.

"I was approaching the 28-week mark by the time we celebrated our first anniversary on 6 June, and we just feel very lucky that it's all working out," she wrote, adding that her sister had welcomed her own child last December.

"My sister had her first baby in December, and funnily enough my brother is also going to be a dad this November, so the timing is amazing."
