Angelina Jolie is a woman of many jobs and passions. But the actress, director, producer, United Nations special envoy, and London School of Economics guest lecturer wears one hat more than any other: that of a cool mom. On Friday, she took her kids Maddox, Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh Jolie-Pitt to the Museum of Modern Art premiere of Prune Nourry’s documentary Serendipity.

She spent Friday night posing with her brood on the red carpet at the event, where she commented on why it was important that she turn up for the event.

“I’m honored to be here to support my dear friend, Prune Nourry, and to introduce a unique, brave and mesmerizing film,” she told People. “A tribute to the spirit of a woman, and a journey into the mind and soul of a true artist.”

It makes sense that Jolie would serve as executive producer for Nourry’s documentary, which is about how her own breast cancer affected her life and career. As a humanitarian and filmmaker, Jolie has done work, like her film First They Killed My Father, that focus on real-life hardships and challenges, and she’s shared that work with her children. Her son, Maddox, was executive producer alongside his mom on First They Killed My Father, a movie about genocide in Cambodia, his home country.

The Jolie-Pitt brood have been through a lot in the past two-and-a-half years since their parents split. But their mom has kept them busy with outings as casual as a day selling dog treats at an L.A. dog park and as glamorous as nights out at the MoMa.
