‘Visions Of Mana’ Is An All-New ‘Mana’ Game And It Looks Great

Following

Following the remake of Trials of Mana, we now have an all-new mainline entry in the Mana series in the form of Visions of Mana, and it looks wonderful.

The new announcement trailer (shown below) reveals a game that looks really rather lovely and very much inline with previous entries in the Mana series.

This is also not a remake, and while Trials of Mana was done with Unreal Engine, it’s not clear yet what toolset this game is using.

It’s also not clear who is developing Visions of Mana, as the Secret of Mana remake was handled by Q Studios and the Trials of Mana remake was done by Xeen.

The new key art for the game (shown above) is also lovely and done by HACCAN. Showing the Mana Tree and the new characters from the game, it harks back to Hiroo Isono’s classic artwork for Secret of Mana.

Regardless, we have a new Mana game on the way and that’s great to see. Having started out on the series playing Final Fantasy Adventure on the Game Boy and then Secret of Mana on the SNES, those were formative games for me. So to have a new entry in the series after all this time does mean a lot.

Visions of Mana will be released next year for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
