Janet Jackson and Paris Jackson may be the two foremost members of one of America's most famous families (I'd put the Jacksons just below the Kennedys in terms of national importance), but it's surprisingly rare to catch them hanging out together. But while Janet is, well, Janet Jackson to the rest of us, she's still an aunt to Paris. And aunts love to take any opportunity to post their nieces.
Ms. Jackson uploaded a photo of herself posing with her brother Michael's daughter to Instagram—Janet is giving a broad auntie smile while Paris is serving high-fashion fierceness. You'd think noted fashion photographer Nigel Barker was behind the camera. It's adorable, actually.

“So good catching up with my beautiful niece,” Janet captioned the photo and tagging Paris, who commented with a single black heart.
Both women were in Paris (as in the city in France) for Fashion Week, with Janet sitting front row at the Thom Browne show, wearing a look put together in collaboration with the designer himself. “What I was looking for: that I wanted to wear one of his incredible hats, how I wanted my shirt to be, that I wanted to wear one of his school boy jackets and a skirt,” Janet told Vogue. “He basically took it from there, and boy, did he take it.”
While Paris and Janet Jackson are rarely seen together in public, insiders say they are in fact very close. “Janet still has a wonderful relationship with all of the kids and is constantly in touch with them all,” a source told Hollywood Life in February. “Janet even wants to help Paris with her music career if she wanted any help.”
