The Tanners are back on the small screen but there’s a twist!
Before Netflix’s 2016 Full House revival, Lifetime has unveiled the first look at its upcoming The Unauthorized Full House Story.
The cable network has also announced the cast for upcoming behind-the-scenes movie that follows last year’s Unauthorized Saved By the Bell Story.
Garrett Brawith (Rolling) will play Bob Saget. Justin Mader (Death Race) will portray Dave Coulier. Days of Our Lives‘ Justin Gaston has been cast as John Stamos. Stephanie Bennett (Big Eyes) will fill the roll of Lori Loughlin.
The rest of the main roles will be split to better show the children’s growth from the beginning of the series to the end of its eight-year run.
Shelby Armstrong and Brittney Wilson (Rogue) will play the younger and older versions of Candace Cameron. Dakota Guppy (The Returned) and Jordyn Olson (The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story) will play the younger and older versions of Jodie Sweetin.
Aislyn Watson (Finding Mrs. Claus) and Jaime Schneider (Twisted Tales of My 9 to 5) will portray the younger and older versions of Andrea Barber.
Finally, the role of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will be split into three parts: Blaise and Kinslea Todd have been cast as the toddler versions of the Olsen twins; Calla and Tyla Jones will play them at age six and Kylie and Jordan Armstrong will portray the twins at nine years of age.
The behind-the-scenes Full House project comes just as the casting for Netflix’s Fuller House revival is heating up. Everyone from the regular cast is set to return except for the Olsens, who are no longer acting.
The Unauthorized Full House Story premieres on Aug. 22 at 8 p.m. on Lifetime.
