Every day we’re getting closer and closer to seeing the Estefans’ story on Broadway. And though there’s still no confirmation on who will play Gloria, it seems William Levy is keen on headlining as the one-and-only Emilio!

Rumors had already been flying about Levy portraying the Miami Sound Machine mastermind. But Estefan himself quickly shot them down.

William, on the other hand, seemed very interested in the part. A proud Cubano, the Dancing With The Stars hunk feels more than ready for his Broadway debut.

“Yes, I would love to take Emilio Estefan and Gloria Estefan’s story to Broadway,” he said in a statement. “They are people I admire very much for everything they have achieved. People that left Cuba and it’s a story that not only Cubans would love to see, but all Latinos would. It’s a story about overcoming.”
