It is a light day of sports at Knoxville as three teams will have events. Girls golf will head to Osklaoosa for their second 18 hole meet of the season. Coach Barry Smith is glad to play at Edmundson this early in the season knowing it is where the conference and possibly where regionals will be held.

Smith: “It’s a course where we’ve been assigned to play regionals, it’s a course that’s within an hour drive of a lot of teams in south central Iowa. I’m really looking forward to how well we play because we’ll see it one more time and possibly twice.”

The other two squads are tennis as the girls go to Davis County and the boys host the Mustangs. The Panthers’ match with Chariton was rained out on Tuesday while the girls had a meet, a narrow loss to Pella Christian on Monday. Stay tuned for coverage of Knoxville Sports on KNIA/KRLS.
