John Travolta revealed his excitement on social media after receiving his aeronautical credentials as he is now licensed to fly a 737 aircraft and has shared the special moment with his fans and followers.

The 68-year-old actor, who has been a licensed pilot since he was 22, said it is "a very proud moment" in his "aeronautical history" and explained that "I just got my 737 license. And it went very well, so I'm just sharing my moment with you," adding this to his "747 and 707 licenses."

Travolta has shared his passion for aviation throughout his career: he learned to fly a plane at age 15, received his first pilot's license in 1978 and became a Qantas Airways ambassador in 2002.

He previously confessed that "aviation has always rescued me from anything in my mind that is blue," adding that he can "look at an airline schedule and brochure and be encouraged."

The actor has a private runway for his planes in Florida and owns more than seven aircraft, including three Gulfstream jets, a Boeing 707, a Bombardier Challenger 601 and a Boeing 727.

With this new accomplishment, Travolta can now fly a Boeing 737, which is required to move from being a private pilot to becoming a commercial airline pilot.

His plane is his home

Travolta even acknowledged in several interviews that his mansion, valued at 14 million euros, was designed based on airplanes.

"We designed the house for jets and to have access to the whole world at any time, and we did it."

The huge house has nine bedrooms, all with large windows so that the planes can be seen at all times.
