Helena Christensen may be 42-years-old, but she’s still rocking a supermodel body.
The age-defying beauty — and mom of son Mingus, 12, — stunned in a multi-colored bikini during a beach day on the island of Ischia off the coast of Naples.
“I have no problems with showing my body,” Christensen told Elle magazine after turning 40. “I’m Danish. Everyone’s naked on the beaches. We don’t really give a s***.”
Still, just because she looks fantastic, the supermodel adds that it can be “intimidating” to hit the beach in a bikini.
“If someone is painting neon circles around parts of your body, like those pathetic tabloid magazines, it makes me so angry.”
Her tip for a hot body like hers?
“The truth is, work out a bit and get firmer,” says Christensen. “Get a bathing suit you feel comfortable in. Try to eat a little less of the stuff you know will make you look less firm and don’t start two days before you go.”
The former Miss Denmark 1986 first shot to fame in the 1990s as a Victoria’s Secret Angel and also graced the covers of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, as well as print ads for Versace and Ralph Lauren.
But Christensen is probably best known for heating up MTV and VH1 in the 1991 music video for Chris Issak‘s “Wicked Game.”
The black-and-white clip — which featured the model topless, covered mostly by her hair and Issak’s body — was voted No. 4 on VH1’s “50 Sexiest Music Videos.”
