Faster, Pussycat! Kill Kill! Star Haji Dies at 67

Haji, the actress who starred in the 1967 exploitation film Faster, Pussycat! Kill Kill!, has died. She was 67.

Actress Francesca Natividad, who co-starred with Haji in 2001's The Double-D Avenger, posted news of Haji's death on her Facebook page Friday.

"TODAY I LOST MY DEAR FRIEND HAJI," Natividad wrote. "I LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU SO SO MUCH....... RIP."

Haji was born Barbarella Catton in Quebec City and became an exotic dancer at age 14. She later moved to California and was working in a topless bar when she was discovered by Faster, Pussycat! Kill Kill! director Russ Meyer. In addition to starring in the film, Haji was also credited as a casting director and production assistant.

She and Meyer teamed up for four more films, including Beyond the Valley of the Dolls in 1970 and Supervixens in 1975.

In addition to The Double-D Avenger, Haji also starred in 2003's Killer Drag Queens on Dope.
