Gwen Stefani has been in the headlines of late because she is reviving No Doubt and that is a big deal for a lot of music fans who are now in their late 30s and early 40s.
But Stefani’s relationship with country music star and husband Blake Shelton has long been the subject of rumors. Specifically, there has been a lot of speculation that they may be splitting up.
Turns out, at least according to Stefani, those rumors have been pretty brutal and they have also been unfounded.

“I had been going through those times where you’re questioning, ‘Oh my gosh, am I just getting older? Am I cute?’” she said in an interview. “In my own relationship, even though I know the truth of what’s happening today, you still create drama in your own mind about your insecurities and what might happen.”
Stefani spoke about having feelings of insecurity.
“It’s an insecurity we both have,” Shelton said. “These are conversations that she and I have with each other. ‘Are you still going to love me when I’m old or if I forget who I am?’”
And Stefani said that three years after getting hitched with Shelton she knows the answer to that question.
“The truth is I am in love with my best friend,” she said.
And she told Nylon she tries to ignore the rumors.
“You can say whatever you want to say about our relationship,” she said. “I mean, a week ago we were getting divorced again or something. It’s just lies. The truth is the truth, and we know what that is.”
