Aiden M Sad, but a good High School Musical movie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/14/24 Full Review Annabelle C Some songs are not as great as others but the acting is amazing, as are most parts of the storyline. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/05/24 Full Review Rami A People will look back at this trilogy with or without nostalgia goggles and still call it a masterpiece. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/07/23 Full Review Audience Member It's the 3rd and final installment of the pop culture phenomenon that brought musicals back to the forefront while also selling tons of merchandise, soundtracks, inspiring world tours, YouTube cover songs, and solidifying these actors' careers Director Kenny Ortega finishes the trilogy with more songs and dance numbers 15 years later and it's still the best one of the three All the cast members from last time are back from Zac Efron to Vanessa Hudgens to Ashley Tisdale to Monique Coleman to Lucas Grabeel to Corbin Bleu to Oleysa Rulin but also new players to carry on the legacy It's senior year for the Wildcats; Troy is unsure where to go for college even though there's an application for Juilliard, Gabriella has to choose between going millions of miles away or stay local, Kelsi is hoping to put together one last musical with everyone's busy schedules, and Sharpay wants her fame and fortune after graduation even if it means stealing the spotlight from Troy and Gabriella Everyone's facing the pressure and reality of graduating and found to prom and the film doesn't shy away from relatable dilemmas kids face whether it's deciding which college to go to, saying goodbye, or worrying if they'll still stay in touch afterwards Maybe our hearts doesn't know what's in high school, we all wish it would all slow down, there will always be an emphasis on collective action and importance of group effort over individualism The songs are way more catchy, more toe tapping, the sets are sparkling with rich detail and colors, the actors are still so charismatic (they're not bad actors even if they're playing one-dimensional characters), and this certainly feels like a closing chapter of a phenomenon It is after all a thank you note to the fans I suppose on another level that the movie is overwhelmed by so many subplots it's hard to tackle them all, then again the fans want to soak up every minute before it ends And I won't lie I was in tears at several points even the ending which is hard to believe it's all over Again it's an over exaggerated version of high school and cheesy but entertains still with its musical energy It's a series that celebrates talent, enthusiasm, loyalty, and love not just for tween audiences Plus it acts as a nice time capsule with a big budget My second best movie of 2008! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/25/23 Full Review Alysha S Since the story wrote itself, it would have been much harder with other films to add a lot of seasoning to the story. However, there was only so much. The plot other had a couple of too-quick turnabouts. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/06/23 Full Review starfire i It was the WORST movie I've EVER watched. They ALWAYS break out into song. They have mental issues and are delusional. Don't even get me started on Troy Bilten or whatever his name is. He's a narcissist jerk who's manipulative and is schizophrenic. Who sings during a BASKETBALL GAME. I'm tired of producers getting tricked and lied to thinking this is okay to produce. I hope whoever made this is VERY unhappy. I'm coming for you. 😬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Jim Schembri The Age (Australia) High School Musical 3 overstays its welcome, stretching out about 20 minutes longer than it needs to, thanks chiefly to a final celebratory reel that simply refuses to end. Rated: 2.5/5 Dec 10, 2008 Full Review Paul Byrnes Sydney Morning Herald A real, honest-to-goodness teen musical throwback, as if Andy Hardy had never died and James Dean had never lived. Rated: 4/4 Dec 8, 2008 Full Review Ruth Hessey MovieTime, ABC Radio National So sweet you'll leave the cinema with diabetes. Dec 5, 2008 Full Review Mitchell Beaupre Paste Magazine High School Musical wouldn’t have ever been what it was without Efron’s wholly committed performance selling every high and low with aplomb—the kind of screen presence that comes around once in a blue moon. Rated: 6.5/10 Oct 24, 2023 Full Review Rachel Wagner Rachel's Reviews (YouTube) I enjoyed it very much. Probably the best made of the 3 films Jun 13, 2022 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com It's hard to begrudge a film success when it has such an upbeat attitude and overwhelming respect for all its characters.
