Khalid Abdalla is continuing to make political statements at high-profile events, with his most recent head-turning appearance being at the red carpet at the 75th Emmys in Los Angeles on Monday.

 
The 43-year-old actor, who played Princess Diana’s late boyfriend Dodi Fayed in Netflix’s hit TV series The Crown, posed for photographers with his hand held up, where he wrote the message “never again” on his palm. Abdalla was referring to the ongoing Israel-Gaza war in his message, per British media. He previously attended the LA premiere of The Crown’s sixth season and had the words “ceasefire now” written on his hand.

Abdalla was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1980 to Egyptian parents, per Mille World. His mum and dad worked as physicians.

Abdalla grew up in London and reportedly studied English at the University of Cambridge.
