Kate Hudson gave her 4-year-old daughter Rani Rose — and her fiancé Danny Fujikawa — a little frosting from Tiffany’s, and she shared the sweetest family photos of the new accessories. Although the beautiful bracelets were nowhere near as expensive as the stunning diamond necklace Hudson wore in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, it still sparked major backlash from mom shamers. (Jealous, much?!)

In the first photo, the Bride Wars star is hugging her daughter and showing off her three gold Tiffany & Co. bracelets. Rani has one matching gold bracelet on her wrist, as she smiles in the middle of the shot. Fujikawa is on Rani’s other side, wearing a simple silver band. She also posted several pictures of the trio smiling and posing with an iconic teal Tiffany box. I mean, sure, a 4-year-old having nicer jewelry than most of us do is a little wild, but we’ve seen celebrities gift their kids much more expensive things. It’s just part of life — we all spoil our kids, no matter how much money we have.
But mom shamers were not happy. They came in droves to criticize Hudson’s post. “While the vast majority of the population struggle to pay for their groceries…. ‘Look at these $10,000 bracelets’ 🤣,” one person commented on the photo.
“I mean in today’s economy, when most Americans are trying to survive you’re going to talk about bracelets that cost thousands of dollars? Help [sic] out of touch can you be?!” another said.
Someone else judgily wrote, “Yes let’s get a child a bracelet that costs more than most people’s car. You’re so relatable, Kate. 🙄 Screw the mortgage! Let’s get matching bracelets.” To be fair, she never claimed to be relatable!

“By all means give the 4 year old a 7k bracelet,” another wrote.
Many others defended Hudson. “She’s a celebrity, obviously she’s not struggling to pay groceries. Why is everyone so pressed that she bought something?” one person wrote. “What is she supposed to do? Send everyone her money instead? Cmon! I’m sure she donates to charities. It’s her money that she worked for. She is free to spend it how she chooses.” Ex. Act. Ly. Who are you to tell someone else how to spend their money? Especially if it’s not hurting anyone.
“Its her money and she worked for it. why should she feel bad? i know i wouldn’t,” someone else said, and we absolutely appreciate the honesty.
“It’s just a little frosting. 💍💎” another wrote.
This isn’t the first time Hudson has given her daughter expensive accessories. During a May 2023 New York City vacation, Rani was spotted wearing an adorable pink Valentino bag. The purse was perched on her forearm like a pro as she walked around the city in her jeans and pink tank top.
