This set of 32 task cards includes 2 visuals and 30 figurative language expressions in the context of a sentence or short scenario. Students must find the figurative language, explain its meaning, and employ metalinguistic skills to answer questions about each passage.

This product was created for older students in speech and language therapy, but can also be used in special education or language arts classes to support vocabulary instruction. If printed and prepped, these task cards are optimally size for storage in a 4x6 photo box. Resource can also be used as a digital PDF on a computer or tablet.
