TURISAS VINYL TRILOGY REPRESS OUT THIS WEEK

The release date of Turisas’ classic album vinyl trilogy has been preponed and will be released this week instead of April 22 as announced earlier.

Pressed on colored vinyl and strictly limited to 500 copies each, these new gatefold renditions of Turisas’ classic albums Battle Metal, The Varangian Way and Stand Up And Fight! come with extensive liner notes plus A2 posters. All pre-orders will be shipped as soon as we get them.

ALL WEBSHOP PROCEEDS TO BE DONATED TO UKRAINE

This week we are donating all webshop proceeds – across the entire Turisas webshop and including the vinyl represses – to Unicef in support of the children and families of Ukraine. Putin’s senseless war on Ukraine and barbaric targeting of sivilians needs to stop.

CHANGES IN THE TOURING LINEUP

Due to family reasons, violinist Olli Vänskä will be taking some time off from the band and will thus not be joining us for the upcoming European Tour starting February 21st. However, we are thrilled to announce, that on the upcoming tour the spotlight will be filled by Zambian electric-violin-superstar Caitlin De Ville.

On keyboards, replacing touring keyboardist Kasper Mårtenson, we will see the return of our good Swedish friend and amazing musician Robert Engstrand, who played with the band 2011-2014 and has since been playing keyboards for Finnish prog band Von Hertzen Brothers.

Vocalist and band leader Mathias Nygård comments:

”We’ve just come out of an intensive week of rehearsals in Helsinki and the feeling could not be better. The band sounds better than ever, and everyone is super hyped about the upcoming tour. It’s truly a humbling experience to get to perform with such an amazing group of musicians. For the tour we’ve prepared some special stuff for you guys, so if you’re still hesitating, I’m telling you, you don’t want to miss this show!”

TURISAS ANNOUNCE “WAYFARER & WARRIORS” EUROPEAN CO-HEADLINE TOUR 2019 WITH KORPIKLAANI AND TROLLFEST

TURISAS will embark on an extensive co-headline run across the continent with no less than their fellow countrymen Korpiklaani in February and March 2019. Opening support will come from Norwegian True Balkan Metallers Trollfest. The whole itinerary can be found below.

TURISAS comment on the tour: “It’s been long since we’ve last toured Europe properly and couldn’t be more excited to get back on the stage and vent off some of the cabin fever built up by years of research and songwriting for a new album. – And what would be better than going out on a double-headline tour with our dear friends and countrymen Korpiklaani!
