Everyone must do their part these days. Nobody gets a pass. Nobody! Not even Suri Cruise, the 12-year-old daughter of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise.

Suri did her part by selling lemonade at the Pride parade in New York on Sunday. The drink was $2 a glass, which is not a bargain, but then this is Pride in New York City, and it was a hot day. Call it savviness or inflation or the tariffs at work. She set up a little stand with a few friends and her nanny, and they had rainbow Rice Krispie Treats, according to an “insider” in US Weekly. “She was very sweet and kind, telling everyone to enjoy their day and would smile whenever someone walked past! Very sweet,” the “insider” said.

The youngest Cruise wore one of her most tried-and-true accessories, the large bow, and made it a purple one for the occasion. Per her mother, she was stunned by the presidential election, and “hurt.” “I thought Hillary was going to win this year, and it was such a—it just hurt so badly when she didn’t,” Holmes said. “And I know that it hurt my child so much as a 10-year-old, and it really made me think, Oh we have a lot . . . a long way to go as women.”

Elsewhere this weekend, Suri played at a dog park wearing a floppy bow in pink this time and a brace on her leg. (The brace did not appear to stop her from running around.) Honestly, dogs and Pride sounds like the ideal weekend for anyone, adult or kid.
