Love is clearly in the air in Hollywood as, one day after Britney Spears announced her engagement, Kate Hudson revealed that her boyfriend of five years, Danny Fujikawa, also popped the question.

On Monday, the actress posted a photo of the two of them embracing atop a mountain and showing off the new ring on her left hand. “Let’s go!,” Hudson captioned the shot with a bride, groom, and wedding chapel emoji. Fujikawa’s stepsisters, Erin and Sara Foster, quickly commented on the shot, expressing their relief that their stepbrother had finally proposed. “Finally we are officially sisters!!,” Erin wrote, while Sarah added, “Whoa. It’s official. Not gonna lie, been a hard secret to keep. I may have slipped and told a few people.” The couple, who officially started dating in December 2016, welcomed their first daughter together, Rani Rose, in 2018.

In an Instagram post celebrating a year together, the How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days star revealed that she and the musician first met through his stepsisters, and while they’d only been dating for a year at that point, they’d actually known each other for well over a decade. “The first time I met Danny I was 23 and enormously pregnant with [my eldest son] Ryder,” Hudson explained. “His step sisters [Sara and Erin] are my best friends and so it goes we have been in the same circle for over a decade! A year ago today Danny took me on a hike and what I thought was just a hike with a family friend turned very quickly into an unexpected first date.” She continued, “No moves were made on this first date. In fact, it took months for him to make a first move! And as a kiss on this bridge would have been nice, the kiss a year later was so much sweeter. So on our 15th year of knowing each other we were able to open our hearts to each other to feel so much pure love and it’s been truly incredible. Happy first date anniversary baby. #LoveThisMan #WhatAYear.”

This will be Fujikawa’s first marriage and Hudson’s second. She was previously married to The Black Crowes’ lead singer Chris Robinson from 2000 until 2007, with whom she has one son, 17-year-old Ryder Robinson. She also has a 10-year-old son, Bingham Hawn Bellamy, from her four-year relationship with ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy, which ended in 2014.
