After making headlines and earning backlash for earning roughly 1,500 times more than Michelle Williams for All The Money in the World scene reshoots, Mark Wahlberg has just announced that he is donating the entirety of his $1.5 million fee to the #TimesUp legal fund, which was founded to aid victims of inequality and sexual assault or harassment. According to the report from Deadline, the actor has not only made the contribution in Williams’s name, but his and Williams’s agency, WME, has also chosen to donate $500,000 to the cause.

The film required reshoots last year after director Ridley Scott decided to pull all of Kevin Spacey’s scenes (this following sexual harassment allegations against Spacey by actor Anthony Rapp). While Wahlberg earned a hefty sum for his reshoots, Williams earned less than $1,000 for hers, shedding light on Hollywood’s ongoing problem with gender inequality—particularly when it comes to payment.

“Over the last few days my reshoot fee for All The Money in the World has become an important topic of conversation,” Wahlberg said in a statement. “I 100 percent support the fight for fair pay and I’m donating the $1.5 million to the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund in Michelle Williams’s name.”
