Queen Latifah & Eboni Nichols Have Date Night at the Met Gala

You both look amazing.

So is this sort of like date night? Like, what's happening?

Well, Eboni asked me out on a date, right Eb?

[Emma laughing] I was like,

We're going to the Met. Make it happen.

And I wanted to be a hero in my household.

And so Tom Brown invited us and here we are.

[Emma] Do you both get ready together

or are you like, no we need to be in separate rooms?

Like, same space but separate.

Yes. Yes. That's right.

Yeah, but that's healthy though.

Especially for two dolls.

We need all of that space and all of that room.

Yes, no sharing the glam team. That's two separate.

We've learned the hard way with that.

[Emma] No.

What was the last week like leading up to this?

Like, was it really busy

or was it sort of just like, wake up one day.

Oh, it's Monday and it's the Met.

Like, what's the prep like?

We just came from New Orleans.

We had a big show at the New Orleans Jazz Festival.

[Emma] Amazing.

So we had a big 90 minute show there and we flew in

but we had fittings before that.

[Emma] Yes.

And we parent in between that

and then we get the four fittings and then here we are.

Are the kids, like, so stoked to see what you both wear?

He doesn't even know. He's just like in his life,

in his happy life. [Emma laughing]

And then we send him videos and he's like,

Oh you look so amazing.

That's so sweet. Yeah.

She sent a picture. He's loving it.

Yes.

[Emma] I love it.

He's very happy to see us dressed up.

Well, go enjoy. Date night.

We're gonna go have some fun.
