Multiple members of the Bachchan family test positive for COVID-19

After Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan confirmed yesterday that they have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, the BMC reported positive results for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya as well

According to the latest reports, four members of the Bachchan family, Amitabh, Abhishek, Aishwarya and Aaradhya, have tested positive for COVID-19. The first update came late night on July 11, when Amitabh Bachchan tweeted to let his fans know that he had tested positive for the coronavirus, and was admitted to the Nanavati Hospital in Juhu, Mumbai, with mild symptoms. Later the same night, Abhishek Bachchan also took to Twitter to confirm that he had COVID-19, and was admitted with his father.

As per protocol, their Juhu home, Jalsa, was visited and sanitised by the BMC while other family members and staff were tested for COVID-19. This afternoon, the BMC confirmed that while the initial antigen tests came negative for other family members, further tests established Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya as COVID-19 positive. Both mother and daughter are reported to have minor symptoms and are quarantining at their home at the moment.
