Louis Vuitton is moving its show to the opening day of Paris Fashion Week Men’s this season, two days ahead of its usual slot, as it unveils the debut collection by new men’s creative director Pharrell Williams.

The Spring/Summer 2024 menswear edition will run from 20 to 25 June, comprising 42 shows (up from 39 last year) and 38 presentations, the French industry body Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode revealed today. Mainstay luxury players including Givenchy, Isabel Marant, Rick Owens, Dior, Loewe and Hermès are all on the calendar. Kidsuper is returning to Paris after founder Colm Dillane showed with Louis Vuitton in January. Wales Bonner, Amiri, Comme des Garçons and Sacai are also slated to show, while notable presentations include Courrèges and Acne Studios. Ludovic de Saint Sernin — who recently exited Ann Demeulemeester after a season — will close the week with his own brand.

Louis Vuitton will draw the crowds. Williams’s appointment in February filled one of fashion’s most high-profile vacancies, open since Virgil Abloh died in November 2021. While there was some criticism of the choice of Williams for the role, support poured in from several high-profile industry figures.

Newcomers on the Paris schedule this June are French brands Burc Akyol (one of the finalists for the LVMH Prize for Young Designers) and Koché. Woolmark prize winner Lagos Space Programme will also present for the first time at Paris Fashion Week Men’s through emerging designer showroom Sphere. This season, Sphere is showcasing seven brands, five of which are on the official Paris schedule.

Rhude is back on the calendar with a presentation, following designer Rhuigi Villaseñor’s departure from Bally (less than two years after joining the brand). Saint Laurant is a notable absence; the brand will show off-schedule in Berlin on 12 June. Celine, which returned to (and closed) the week last June, is also absent.
