Rakion is a strategy game with 5 characters, one of which is a ninja. In the old days of Rakion, everyone could stun grip if they were a ninja. In the new days, though, most people don't seem to be able to. If you don't know what stun-gripping is, it is kind of a trick grip, as in you attack the opponent once and seize the opportunity to grip. It's harder than it sounds though.

Steps

  1. Click both left and right click at same time a half second after you stun, otherwise you will mess up doing the load up special.
  2. To do that create a new stage game (1st stage). When you enter do not go through the door. Stay where you are. You have 9mins to practise before game ends. Do the following thing: Left click (wait one second) left+right click. This will produce a slash and invincible jump attack if done right. When you do the same fluently on an opponent you will stun grip him/her.

Tips

  • Normally the easiest opponents to stun grip are mages and blacksmith and archers.
  • Also, you can get elemental armor, event armor or refine your armor to make it better and you will become faster.
  • Stun gripping is easier if you have more stat points in Attack Speed. Most players allocate at least 30 points into their Attack Speed score.

Tactics

  • Mage:

If the mage is still noob try to dash at him. When you are near enough he will panic and try to run away. Now you can do two things:
    • Do a jump attack (space+mouse1) to completely stop him When he gets up he will most likely try to ice you. So move out of the way and grip. The ice spell has a huge delay so it shouldn't be hard. Just make sure you are close enough
    • Go straight for it. Slash him once and wait until he is stunned. Don't overdo it, though, or you will knock him down. He has to be standing still for you to grip. If you are not sure, special him.
  • Archer:

This is probably the easiest of all. Do not fear her arrows, just do a continuous dash at her and you will be okay. Just make sure you don't stop in the middle. There are two thing that can happen next:
    • She tries to run away and shoot you with her bow. If this is the case don't let her. Chase after her and try to stun or knock her down. When she gets up BLOCK and then try to stun again.
    • She may try to use her sword. This is good news to you. While she is changing weapons just stun her. Most likely you will stun her from first try . If you fail do not fear. She will not do much damage to you with her sword unless she charges you. You're in trouble if she does. If she tries to do an invincible spin attack grip her.
    • She may also try to invincible attack you or special you, they also have a delay time so it is pretty easy to grip them.
  • Blacksmith:

This is where it gets harder. Blacksmith will do a great deal of damage to you so get out of the way. Do not try to stun grip when he does the jump attack (space+mouse1). Although he is slow he will manage to move away and you will get gripped yourself. That or specialed. Do not try to grip a blocking Blacksmith. Do not jump a lot. Jumps can be predicted and he will position himself to do a 360 spin when you land. Always be prepared wait until he does his 360 degree spin. Block and go for the grip.
  • Knight:

Don't try to stun him from the front or you will get combo-ed or specialed. You are faster than him so try to get in his back while he does a combo and stun him. Be careful though a knight's special also hits behind him. When he ends his special/combo do not try to grip him straight away. He will recover. Although he is in delay stun him just to be on the safe side. You may need to hit him more than once but not more than 4 times. After you have successfully stunned him try to grip him.
  • Ninja:

If you are still inexperienced don't try to stun grip ninjas. You are likely to miss and get gripped yourself. Try to attack from behind. If the other ninja uses her range weapon get right in her face and stun grip her. She can't block your hits.

Warnings

  • Don't stun-grip ninjas when you are first starting out. If you want to grip them, wait for them to attempt to grip you and move out of the way. When the failed grip action is performed, grip them.
  • If you join a laggy game (more than 200-300ms) you will fail to stun grip
  • If you grip targets from behind you will do more damage .
  • Stun Gripping is good, but you will probably be waited on and then attack in the .09 secs your vulnerable or more commonly with blacksmiths, a jump attack.
  • All classes can do 1 thing when you go after them: BLOCK.
  • Dealing with run-and-shoot archers: They will probably jump behind you then shoot. Front grip them immediately afterwards.
  • Running mages: Mages aren't that fast so just glide to them and basic. If you miss a grip, he will Curse you aka freeze you. Then his buddies will charge and jump you when you're vulnerable.
  • Charging is advised, for there is a smaller chance of being gripped or charged and it has a faster recovery time.
  • They will probably wait for you to attack with your basic then counter-grip. Your best bet is to go through a full basic or hit them twice.
  • try to guess the other player's movement in order to correctly stun him
  • Don't try to stun grip when you are not alone . Usually when you grip somebody in a melee you will get "specialed" or gripped yourself by another player.
